Caribbean Organizers Ready for IMBD |
| Sheylda Diaz of Puerto Rico (l) and Anthony Levesque of Guadeloupe make bird festivals in the Caribbean happen! | SCSCB (The Society for the Conservation and Study of Caribbean Birds) met in Grand Bahamas in July 2011. Among the many excellent sessions was the opportunity for educators to get their IMBD 2011 materials and practice their interviewing skills. Leo Douglas, Chair of SCSCB's Media Working Group organized a session dedicated to exploring the importance of media to involving the public in bird conservation. Participants learned techniques for improving their speaking skills and practiced during mock interviews. Listen to The Nature Conservancy's Leno Davis share news about his IMBD event..."live".
