Sugar gliders ability to glide when they spread out their furred fold of skin is similar to the Flying Squirrel. But that is the only thing they have in common with the Flying Squirrel. Sugar gliders are naturally nocturnal, meaning they sleep during the day and wake up at night to go about their activities. They are very active little animals and are very social creatures.
