Gerry has been taking pictures most of his life, but in the past four years has focused on wildlife and nature photography. Formally educated as an engineer, his photographic education has been mostly self-taught, along with a lot of help from friends!  Being raised in the more remote areas of northern Minnesota helped instill a love of nature and keen observation of wildlife.  His work for the past 3 years has moved from documentation to expression--primarily to assist others to experience the moments of beauty that surround each of us.

In addition to work with Hawkwatch International and The Nature Conservancy, Gerry's work was recognized in 2009 as one of the top 100 NANPA photographers.
